How long have you been in business?

For almost 20 years, since 1992.

Why should I choose Power Flash?

There are several softare packages on the market that offer the same basic features as Power Flash. However, while the basic features are there, the features in Power Flash have been developed to a much richer level. For example, all of the programs allow you to fax a restaurant copy and a driver copy to the restaurant. But Power Flash will let you specify exactly what information is included on each fax, even allowing you to set a different criteria for each restaurant if you wish.

Another example would be security. Power Flash doesn't just give you two options (manager and CSR). You can define as many levels of security as you want, allowing you to grant for aeach individual feature to only those employees who need it.

Can I have my own website?

Yes, we will set your site up with your own domain name. We will setup your site with your basic color scheme and logos.

What do I need to connect?

When we host your system, all you need is a computer with a broadband Internet connection.

Can I charge different delivery fees based on distance, customer type, or time of day?

Yes. Delivery fees can be based on zones, actual mileage, customer type (residential, business or hotel), and time of day (breakfast, lunch, or dinner).

How much is faxing?

Faxing is built into the system and is included as part of your license. If you choose to host your own system, you will need ot provide a phone line for faxing. When we host your system, this is included for you.

How secure is my website and data?

Our website is designed to be secure using standard SSL data encryption. Your customer data is stored on a separate server, and adopts industry and PCI-based security standards.

Is there a long-term contract?

No. We do not use contracts, and you can cancel at anytime.

I already have a website, can I still use it?

Yes, you can still use you own website, and simply link or embed our ordering system.

Who do you use for credit card processing?

When we host the system for you, we use Heartland Payment Systems, one of the largest restaurant credit card processors in the country. If you host your own system, you are free to use any credit card processer, using ICVerify.

How often do you upgrade your software?

We are continually improving our software. Even after 20 years, we are always adding new features based on our customers' suggestions. For example, we recently adding integration with Google Maps to verify customer addresses and distances.

Do you offer on-site training?

Yes, althought this is usually not necessary. We can come to your location and assist you in any way that you need. Our fee is $1,250 per day plus expenses.

How long does it take to get started?

We can setup your system in just a few hours. If you are a startup, we generally recommend that you get started at least a month before you open. In the days just before your grand opening, you will be so busy that you may not have time to spend entering your restaurant menus. It can take up to a week to ten days to get your credit card processing setup.

Who do I call for support?

You can call our regular (888) 578-9428 for support. Our hours are from 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday central time. Emergency Support is available after hours for emergencies.

How much do you charge for support?

If we are hosting your system for you, one hour of support is included each month. Support over one hour is charged at the rate of $200 per hour. If you are hosting your own system, support is $300 per month, and you get up to two hours of support. We can tailor custom support packages for those larger customers who need more attention. Our support services can include web-site designm training, and custom feature development.
